KAS Scholarship Program 2026/2027 for Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in Germany (Funded)

Applications are now open for the 2027 KAS Scholarship Program. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. awards full scholarships for a Master’s degree (standard duration: four semesters) or a doctoral program at a university in Germany. KAS is looking for socially or politically engaged students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines who can demonstrate German language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Excellent academic performance and a positive attitude toward democracy, pluralism, and human rights are also required.

Requirements

  • The program is aimed at young academics from Kenia, Uganda and South Sudan, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
  • Funding is available for degree programmes at both universities of applied sciences and traditional universities. Second degree programmes, second doctorates and postgraduate programmes in medicine are excluded from funding.
