Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 Egbin PowerUp Internship Experience (SIWES) Programme. A unique opportunity for high-performing engineering and technology students to gain practical industry experience at one of Africa’s largest power generation companies.

The internship program is designed to equip students with hands-on technical skills, industry exposure, and professional development opportunities while contributing to Nigeria’s energy sector.

Eligible Fields of Study

Applicants must be studying one of the following disciplines:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution
• Have a minimum academic standing of Second Class Upper (2:1) or its equivalent at the time of application
• Be eligible for the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES)
