Applications are now open for the 2026 Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Kenya Political Leadership and Governance Programme (PLGP). The FES Kenya Political Leadership and Governance Programme (PLGP) is designed to provide essential skills, networks, and values to young leaders aged 18-35 from political parties, civil society organizations, and trade unions. Its aim is to prepare them for leadership roles across various capacities.

The program focuses on fostering value-driven leadership for democratic governance, with a commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens to engage in politics, economics, society, and culture. Participants in the program acquire skills that enhance their capacity to contribute to a socially just and democratic Kenya .

Programme Structure

Participants will undergo:

  • 2 weeks of immersive training
  • 4-month mentorship journey

Combining theory, practice, and real-world leadership exposure
