Applications are now open for the 2026 Leo Africa Institute Young and Emerging Leaders Project. The Young and Emerging Leaders Project (YELP) is a fellowship program of the LéO Africa Institute that inducts young thought leaders into a fellowship program of six months.

The fellowship brings together young, dynamic and influential thought leaders from East Africa to train and orient them for leadership focused on shaping the next generation of leaders in East Africa.

Requirements

Leo Africa Institute is looking for young leaders who are committed to Africa’s development and ready to make an impact.

  • Age: 18-35 years old
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in their respective fields
  • Commitment: Dedicated to Africa’s development
  • Location: Based in East Africa
  • Availability: Available to attend all three seminars

Exploring foundational principles of ethical leadership and developing a strong value system rooted in African identity.

Leveraging media, arts, and technology as powerful tools for social change and transformational leadership.
